IMH (Institute of Mental health) posting was fun and interesting! haha. and i love my CI, Mr Bernard Lian. haha! i love his teaching and he always made us laugh like no body business. lolx! Mr Bernard perform poker cards magic for us! haha. and i learnt 2 tricks from his. and he ask me to give him 50 bucks for tuition fee.... -.-" lolx!!!
Mr Bernard taught us how to question the patient to test their IQs and cognitive patterns. haha. very funny. we always start laughing when we heard what the patient answer to our questions.
people, ask yourself...
a very simple question, wat is the difference between an apple and an orange?
What will you do if u have 1 million dollars?
what will you do if you come to my house and see my house is on fire?
you know what my patient ans?
1) what is the difference between apple and orange?
he ans: apple is for male, orange is for female.
!!!!!!!!!!!!! broke into laughter~ haha.
he explained: apple is hard and strong and is red colour, represent male. male is strong, energetic and the heart is red.... -.-"
continued: orange is sour and sweet, just like female, female gave birth to children which is very tough (sour), but when the kid grow up and treat the parent nice, they will feel happy (sweet). -.-"
hahahaha. his explanation very very different from what you and I will think right? lolx.
ok. next question..
2)what will you do with the 1 million dollars?
ans from another patient: i will burn/tear it away.

explained: because i dun need it! money cant eat..... if i hungry, i can pluck the fruits from and tree...
broke into laughter again...
3)what will you do if you come to my house and see my house is on fire?
ans from the 1st patient: i will call for superman!
broke into laughter!!! a hard one... lolx! really LOL. didnt expect him to give me this kinda ans....
continued: the superman will blow the fire away...
hahaha. his ans is like.......... lolx.
another patient ans this way: i will find a place and hide!
me: huh!? you dun wanna save me? i'm inside the house lehx!
patient: you can save yourself...

they are really cute and friendly. they ain't mad.. just that they have thought disorders and their perceptions were not right. lolx. they are still a normal human being... lolx!
i feel that IMH is some how better than those normal hospital. though they have mental illness, but some of them are much nicer than those ordinary patient in TTSH or other hospital. they are friendly and some of them were really innocent. lolx. unlike those fussy patient in the normal hospital. want this want that. the nurses cant give wat they want then they complain... -.-"
my patient who ans me the apple represents male.. he is a christian. very funny. he said he is the 2nd jesus. haha. we always laugh when he said that. lolx. he said the Satan control his mind and made me do those evil things.. haha. and he said that there are 7 holy spirits inside his body and he can communicate with Jesus. lolx!! every morning he will be holding his bible and read, walking here and there. lolx.
each patient have their character, some really can make you laugh one. haha. got one hate the government. keep saying about money. lolx! he is very irritating la. cos he always talking very loudly. normally no one will reply or talk to him. haha. they very poor thing la.
every day go ther talk to them, play cards with them... we no need to do anything else like wat we did in normal hospital. life is so enjoyable! haha. BUT!! if your ward got a violent patient. then its different story. but those violent cases normally happen in female ward. haha. they will hit the student nurses or the staff nurses. lolx. poor thing.
the Crisis bell always ring one. the bell is for the team to go to the ward and sort out the violent cases happening in the ward and in always happening in female ward! lolx!
